RQ6 Combat Effects App for Android

posted Oct 15, 2012 11:44:10 by lawrence.whitaker
Tim Evans has produced this rather wonderful little app for Android (1.2 and above). It assists in working out Special Effects during combat, and, having used this during my own sessions recently, I can say its a great tool to have handy.

The app costs just $0.99 and it will work on Android tablets and smart phones. Now, before anyone asks, we don't have plans for an iOS version but if anyone skilled in such areas wishes to get in touch with us...

I have been interested in doing some iOS apps for RuneQuest, but I held off when I saw you mention you had some stuff in the works.
If you guys dont have any iOS stuff under development, I may just have to pick it back up.

An unfortunate typo on the main page of the app. In the "How to use" section the app refers to the attacker's and defender's "role"s, shouldn't that be "roll"s?

Also the attacker and defender result buttons do not work on my Arnova 10b G3 Tablet. They recognise my touch but do not get selected. If it helps, I am running Android 4.0.3 with Kernel version 3.0.8+.

Shucks, too small a screen.

I have a similar screen-size problem on my Android device, so our Tech Support are looking into reducing font sizes so people don't hit this issue.

Can't use it on SGS2, but I like it anyway.
Buy it to support the effort, go go go!

Yes, something phone-size-small-screen would be much appreciated.

The screen-size issue has been resolved and it will now work on smaller screen sizes (such as my Nextbook 7" tablet).
