Helping others with skills

posted Jan 29, 2013 07:53:51 by ChristophL├╝hr
Good Morning,

Maybe that I verread is, but what I am missing is a rule about helping each other with a skill. I only find the rule that the highest skill is rolling the dice oder the sorting rule.

But what if SCs or NSCs are helping each other with skills.

I am thinking about the following housrule:

If an SC helps another one with the same skill, the supperting SC rolls his dive also and in case of a success adds a tenth of his skill as a bonus to the first one, or a tenth of his roll.

Actually, the rules on page 76 for Augmenting Skills appear to say that there is no roll needed. Just add 10% of the helper's skill to the person being helped.

EDIT: Correction, 20%, not 10%!

I believe you mean the rule for Augmenting Skills on page 76. It's the last section on the page. In short, the helping PC adds 20% of his skill to the skill of the PC attempting the roll.
