RuneQuest 6 Glorantha Book

posted Mar 16, 2013 09:49:17 by DanTrue
Hi all.

I recall it was presented that TDMs Glorantha book would focus on some otherwise-not-very-detailed area of Glorantha. My question is, how far away both geographically and in style will this be from the classical Lunar,Sartar,Prax area?

Will the RQ6 book help with playing campaigns in this area, or will it focus specifically on some far away area?

Can you elaborate yet on what part of Glorantha you will be detailing, or is it yet a secret?

It will focus on the classic regions. There will be two Glorantha books: the 'core' book, plus the campaign setting.

Still secret... ;-)

So what will be the difference? What is in the core book?

I want both these books to be ~500 pages and I want the rules to cover everything, from farming to heroquesting, from dungeoneering to running your clan. And I want them yesterday, thank you very much!

I think the Core book will deal with "How to play Glorantha in RQ6" - i.e. cultures, what to do with sorcery, progressive folk magic and creatures like ducks, mostali and walktapusses etc. and the Campaign setting will be NPCs, adventures etc. to play the campaign they're writing up.

What age will be the backdrop for the campaign setting book?

Is there any prediction on the release year?

Hi Michael,

It will be 3rd Age. Release year is 2014.

BTW, you do know this is the old, largely inactive forum? You'll find a much better forum experience at http://designmechanism.freeforums.org/
